About 10,000 deaths occur in the home, many of them due to drug overdoses. These are frightening statistics and unnecessarily high. The first and best antidote is caution. Good Advice And Bad Medicine * Keep these telephone numbers by your phones: poison control center, doctor, and hospital. * Always follow label directions. Poisoning can occur by eating, drinking or inhaling a substance, or getting it on the skin or in the eyes. It can be a battle to get kids to do chores at the best of times. I have a daily list of chores for my kids to do. The technique that I use is letting my kids choose from a list what they would like to do to contribute. I never use the word jobs, or chores. I always say responsibilities. This gives them the impression that it is a requirement, not just an optional extra. |
