If your child has just turned two he or she will probably think that they are completely independent now. A good way to encourage them and to plan some fun in the park is to buy them a backpack.

It is important to choose the correct back pack for your toddler or you may find that you end up carrying it. Firstly the backpack must not be too long.

You do not want to have the backpack pulling down or getting in the way on the slide (you may find that your child is not always willing to take off their new back pack once you get to the park!).

When you are pregnant the classes will focus on several main topics, pregnancy, labour, birth, feeding your baby, your babies sleep and how to hold your baby.

But if you are not used to holding a new born, the idea of dressing them and getting their curled up arms and legs into clothes can seem daunting. It is always OK to ask your midwife for help, but here are a few guide lines to take some of the worry about hurting your baby out of dressing him or her.

Gathering the family together to discuss what to do about mom can light the fuse of smoldering family issues.

Here are five basic ground rules

Rule #1: Put your loved one’s needs first.

This rule seems plain enough, but when you bring a family together, you bring decades of sibling rivalry, accepted beliefs and long standing issues of trust and confidence (or lack there of!).

Rule #2: Invite everyone with a role in the outcome.

Just because the Cold War ended and people spend their day to day lives with less fear of nuclear war than they did in the middle of the twentieth century does not mean that there is less cause to prepare for disaster. Most high schools still have their bomb shelters because once those were built they did not require constant maintenance. The same cannot be said of survival kits, however, which require frequent attention to maintain the items ready in case of disaster.

Study abroad programs offer the fastest way to fluency. There is no question about it. You get the language in so many ways: you read the street signs, the menus, hear the people at the bus stop, the list goes on and on.

Yet, there are people that have had a hard time with language learning and don’t feel that study abroad will change anything. They don’t feel studying abroad is the answer because for them learning a foreign language is close to impossible.
