Teaching your children manners can be accomplished when it is done consistently. As parents we all want our children to be well mannered. I know as a father I enjoy compliments from other adults about my children’s behavior. Like you I am sometimes surprised when these compliments come. 1. Do not try too fast. If you are trying to teach your 2 year old to chew with their mouth closed you may not get very far. Think about the tremendous coordination it takes to do this. When your child is 5 or 6 though, they are ready.
